This was a toy that was only available in Canada. I know because I saw a commercial and wanted one in the worst way, and my parents actually drove over the border to get me one (luckily we lived in the Niagara Falls area). Squirmin Herman was about 12 inches long and 4 inches wide, made of hairy material but it was kind of flat like a tiny rug. It had eyes on it but that's about it. When you stroked it, it would sort of move like an inchworm. This had to be the early 70s, maybe 1973-74 maybe.
